The past few days after hearing about the promotion for the free Pokemon X and Y game, my friend and I were ecstatic about getting it since we both just gotten the 3DS XL during Christmas together and never registered the system. We already had most of the games on the list except for Lego City and Animal Crossing, and didn't want to buy the games since we had no interest in them at all. We resorted to eBay to buy the club nintendo codes, but my god, are those over-priced at $15 a code when they use to go for $3 before the promotion started. We also tried /r/3DS to ask if anyone was interested in trading/selling/giving a code to one of us, but to our dismay, we were insantly bombarded with downvotes without rhyme or reason. Our thread ended up being a cesspool of people scolding us for wanting Club Nintendo codes, when we could just buy the games ourselves. This really goes to show how uptight and intolerant /r/3DS can be at times, but that is another story for another time.

And now to my final point, as luck would have it, we stumbled upon a eBay seller who was selling a auction that contained 10 club nintendo codes for the 6 games that are currently required in the promotion, and it was the best value we found thus far, so we jumped on it. Now, we only needed 2 codes, and so we now have 8 unused Club Nintendo codes for the 3DS promotion for Pokemon X and Y.
